Bluebonnet, it couldn't be a Texas blog without one!
These bluebonnet flowers grow wild in the back part of the property, where the gardens are made. We planted them all from seed. The best way to get them started is to catch the seed from the dried pod, just before they pop, and toss them on the ground where you want them to grow. They can lay waiting to grow many years, before the conditions are just right. The right time to toss them is when they would fall in nature, on their own.
